TREATMENT OPTIONs
spider veins

Spider veins are fine dilated veins found in the skin of the legs. These spider veins become more prominent due to increased pressure in the veins.

01

VEINGOGH

VEINGOGH utilises a technique to deliver energy via a very fine needle point into the spider veins. The energy delivered causes heat damage to the inner lining of the spider veins. Over time, this causes the spider veins to become smaller in caliber and eventually disappear. A course of 3-6 sessions of treatments may be required.

This procedure is relatively pain-less and is usually done with skin cooling with an ice-pack.

What to expect after procedure?
After a session of Veingogh treatment, patients should:
Wear compression stockings for 1-2 days.
Avoid sun exposure for 5 days.
Apply high SPF sunblock if sun exposure cannot be avoided.

Risk & Compilations
  • Small punctate scabs at point of needle contact, usually resolves after 1-2 weeks
  • Occasional skin blistering
  • Skin redness for 1-2 weeks, may be aggravated with skin exposure

02

INJECTION SCLEROTHERAPY

Spider veins from 0.5 to 2mm can be treated by injection sclerotherapy. This involves injecting a chemical agent into the spider veins to cause the veins to shrink and eventually disappear.
Generally, between 3 to 6 sessions will be required to treat the spider veins.
